Far from the “Board Room “and into the Bricks and Mortar” - the exciting world of Realty. The management skills gained in Corporate and the interaction with the Arts, has put me in good stead, in understanding the market , and providing right the property for the right consumers.
My career has included disciplines like science (Biochemistry) , Marketing and Sales, and Business Strategy( MBA). Not being “artistic” in the slightest, I have a passion and appreciation for the “Creative Sector”. Using my leadership skills I have mentored many “Art Organisations” in providing business acumen and helping them to grow financially. To this end I have been awarded the “BASA Mentor of the Year” on 2 occasions. I currently sit on 2 Boards viz(i) the Deputy Chair – BASA Board, engaging Business to invest in the Arts and (ii) Chairman – Moving into Dance Board. Sustaining the “Creative Sector” is paramount for me, as it is a key platform in South Africa to pass on learnings, express our feelings and ideas that affect the fabric of our society.
